Birthday Cards!

I am always in need of a birthday card and I'm sure most people do. As a card maker, I try to keep some on hand and here's one I'm adding to my 'birthday box'. The image is by Cute As A Button and is named Birthday Wish. The challenge here at Craft-Dee BowZ this month is:  ANYTHING GOES. And, as you probably guessed, our sponsor is Cute As A Button!

I colored my image with Copics and went a little wild with my white pen on the polka dot balloon. Below is my image close-up and she is just the cutest image for a birthday card!

I used a piece of seam binding for my bow and did a double bow using my bow tool. Such a simple little tool that saves me so much time since every bow turns out perfect! I made my stickpins and my tulips and other flowers are from Wild Orchid.

My bow tool is so simple to use and so affordable. Do you have one of these?

Our sponsor this month is Cute As A Button and the prize is 2 single images of the winner's choice! . These are all hand drawn images and there are so many I'm sure you'll find some to your liking!

I hope you'll join us this month at Craft-Dee BowZ for our ANYTHING GOES challenge!

                                                                                Thanks for stopping by!

Never too early to be Merry and Bright!

Does anyone else feel like the year is going by quickly?  It's already March 1! I feel like I lost January somewhere!  It's time for our new monthly challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ and our sponsor this month is Cute As A Button.  Below is my card and I used this adorable elf image named Oh Christmas Tree.

I colored my image with Copics, and used some ribbon, lace, glitter, gold pearls and this tree die cut that reminded me of the tree this little elf is holding!

Here's a close-up of my image and you can see the "fur" on her hat and the bit of glitter added to the bell on her hat and the star on the tree.  I love a bit of sparkle on winter cards...it just seems to make them more holiday-ish.

And this is a triple looped bow in a soft yellow that I thought complimented this card. I used my bow tool to make this bow and it was so simple to get this perfect bow! Do you own a bow tool? If you use bows on any projects, not just cards, this is the tool for you. It's small, lightweight, makes a huge assortment of size bows and is inexpensive!

Our sponsor is Cute As A Button, and the prize this month is 2 single images of the winner's choice. Have you visited Cute As A Button?  You're in for a big surprise to see how many adorable images you love and to pick out only 2 is going to be a tough choice! Francesca is an awesome artist and there's a ton of images to cruise through.

Our monthly challenge here at Craft-Dee BowZ is ANYTHING GOES.  I hope you'll join us since the prize is awesome and we love seeing your creations!

Merry Christmas!

It's December 1 and the wonderful month of Christmas is here. I think some of the most beautiful cards are made for this season. There's a new monthly challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ and I hope you'll join us. Our challenge is ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HAND MADE BOW.  I'm using this gorgeous image from Cute As A Button named Jesus Is The Only Way and I've used my favorite color...purple!

I colored my image with Copics and made my embossed poinsettia with a die by Sue Wilson. This pretty snowflake die was perfect for up the side of my image.
I used Cool Glitter Ritz for my falling snowflakes.  My bow is a quadruple looped bow and I could never have made this without my bow tool. I looped it twice around and then looped it twice more on the inside of my bow bars and held the two smaller loops while I tied it off. I would have needed at least 3 hands to make this bow but my little bow tool is so helpful and handy. If you like bows on your cards or projects, order this for yourself now!

Our sponsor this month is Cute As A Button and the wonderful artist, Francesca, is giving two single images of the winner's choice!

The team at Craft-Dee BowZ have made some wonderful creations to inspire you to join us this month for our ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HAND MADE BOW December challenge. I hope you'll take a peek here and enter your card or project!

Comfy and Cool

It's the 1st of the month and like many challenges, there's a new challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ.  Each month our challenge is ANYTHING GOES AND ADD A HAND MADE BOW.  Not a difficult challenge, but don't forget the bow!!  I love summer images and chose to use this adorable image from Cute As A Button named Cuddly Busty Buttons - Summertime.

I colored her with Copics and used my white Sharpie to give her hair bow some polka dots to match her swimsuit.
And here's my bow! I made 2 bows, the pink one smaller than the aqua, and slid the pink one inside the knot of the aqua one. I love the 2 colors together and then I added a pretty little flower that reminded me of the flowers on her tube. You can make pretty bows each and every time using our little bow tool and it's easy to use, too! Order your bow tool today!!!!

The team has made some adorable cards with images from Cute As A Button Designs and I hope you'll jump over to Craft-Dee BowZ challenge blog and take a peek. The prize this month from our sponsor is 3 single images of the winner's choice!

I love flowers

Welcome to the new challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ.  Our sponsor this month is Cute As A Button. This image is named Poppy Fairy.

I colored her with Copics, and the dies I used are Spellbinders and Go Kreate. I covered her wings with Warm Glitter Ritz after coloring them.

I made my bow with my bow tool. I love how this triple looped bow came out and I glued a poppy flower from Wild Orchid crafts right in the middle of it to keep the theme of poppies.

Our sponsor, Cute As A Button, is donating 3 single images of the winner's choice!  Visit Francesca's store here and see what cute images she has to offer!

Fairy Wishes

Welcome to a new month and a new challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ where the challenge is always ANYTHING GOES AND ADD A HANDMADE BOW!  I made a card using this beautiful image from Cute As A Button named Pixie Fairy.
I colored her with Copics and used some clear iridescent glitter for her fairy dust and around my sentiment which I used a layered circle punch and a scalloped die cut. My sequins, jewel swirl and epoxy dots are from my stash.
My triple looped bow was made with my Craft-Dee BowZ tool.  What an easy time to make a bow with this little tool!  Do you use bows on your cards or projects? If you do, this will save you ribbon and the most precious commodity...your time!  Such an easy little tool to use and get awesome bows every time.

Our sponsor is Cute as a Button. Have you seen the adorable digital images by this fabulous artist, Francesca, of Cute as a Button?
The random prize awarded to one lucky person is 3 single images of the winner's choice!

This is a month long challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ and I hope you'll join us.  Remember, each Tuesday there is another post to inspire and delight you, so please stop back next week!

I love the ocean!

It's my week to post a card on the Craft-Dee BowZ challenge blog. As you know, there are 4 of us on the Team and we each have our own Tuesday to post. Our sponsor this month is Cute As A Button and I've used the image named Mermaid Sophia on my card. The challenge for all of you this month is ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HAND MADE BOW. This card isn't traditional, so please look at the photos below to see how it folds. This card is larger than my usual card, and is almost 8" x 8". The Team's challenge this month was to use a mermaid and the colors teal and/or tan. I was able to incorporate both of those colors in my card.

My seahorse, jelly fish and seaweed are dies by Magnolia. Here's the side view to show you how I made this.

This image was awesome to color using my Copics and I used chalk to do the background.

I used two different colored organza ribbon for my bow and the seashell on top of the knot is a button with the shank cut off. My Craft-Dee BowZ bow tool was a lifesaver for this bow. I was able to make this perfect bow since I didn't have to hold the ribbon in my hands. My bow tool is always close by and I use it on every bow. If you own a bow tool, do you use it?  And if you don't own one, but make bows, what are you waiting for? This is the most economical tool you'll ever own and it won't ever wear out, need new blades or sharpening, it doesn't need electricity, and is simple to use.

Our sponsor is Cute As A Button, whose owner is the talented Francesca. Thank you Francesca, for giving me this beautiful mermaid image to use for my Design Team card this month.

Cute As A Button is offering

Fairy Sweet!

Hello, it's the fourth Tuesday of the month and my turn to post on the Craft-Dee BowZ challenge blog. Our challenge is ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HANDMADE BOW. This month we have a sponsor, Cute As A Button, and I was given this beautiful image name Lagoon Fairy to use for my card. The Design Team also had a challenge to use the color purple and the item of paint chips on our projects. Paint chips are a wonderful addition to your supplies. The stock is heavier and are great to use when die cutting. So the next time you walk through a paint department, get a few and try them!

I colored my image with my new Polychromos Pencils and am delighted with the results of the pencils. I added some Cool Glitter Ritz to her wings, a bit of tan flocking to the cattails, and Glossy Accents to the water drops and water. The clear iridescent sequins, the purple and pink rhinestones are from my stash. And, do you see my paint chips?  I took 2 large ones, put them together so they were large enough for my card, and then mounted them on white paper. It almost makes it look like I have 4 separate pieces of purple for the background.

I used flowers from my favorite stores:  I Am Roses, Wild Orchid and byThita.

I'm so happy with the way my double looped satin bow came out, too. using my Craft-Dee BowZ bow Tool. I added an extra tail of a darker lavender to the bow. This bow was super easy to do, even adding the extra tail while using my bow tool. It frees up my hands so I don't have to hold so much and can do double and triple bows and add extra tails, with ease!

Our sponsor for this month is Cute As A Button who will award the winner of this challenge with 2 single digital images of your choice! Have you seen the images at Cute As A Button? I think they're wonderful and are definitely images you'll like, too!

Snowflakes, snowflakes and more snowflakes

Well, here we are heading towards the end of February already. Today is the fourth Tuesday of the month and it's my turn to post a card for Craft-Dee BowZ using this beautiful image by Francesca of Cute As A Button. The image I chose today is named Winter Flurries.

The snowflake border is a die by Whimsy and I added clear Skiddles to the middle of each snowflake. My sentiment is by Whimsy, too. The snowflakes in the top right corner are a die by La-La Land. I coated the snowflakes in the corner with my Sakura Glue Pen and then coated them with Cool Glitter Ritz. You can see the Cool Glitter Ritz below on the snowflakes, her hat, cuffs, collar and boots, too. For the snowman I used Stampendous Snow Glitter. I added the little purple pearls as an accent on the top string of each snowflake.

And the best part is the bow! This is a double loop bow made on my Craft-Dee BowZ tool. My bow tool has so many assorted sizes to fit every project I'm working on. I love my little bow tool and it hangs by it's pretty ribbon right next to my work table. It's the one tool I use on almost every card! I added this little blue snowflake in the middle with a bit of glue.

Our sponsor is Cute As A Button.  Francesca at Cute As A Button is a wonderful artist and I know you'll love her artwork. She's donating two digital images of the winner's choice! Why not stop by her store and take a look at her fabulous images!

Love is in the air!

Well, it's the last Tuesday in January so that means it's my turn to post on Craft-Dee BowZ.  This month our sponsor is Cute as a Button. Francesca at Cute as a Button is a talented artist and I know you'll love her images, so please go and visit her store!

I used this adorable digital image named Share the Love from Cute as a Button for my project this month.

I colored my image with Copics and chalked the outside of the oval for a bit of color.  The heart lace around the image is from JoAnn's and was on a spool. The pretty silver heart clip with 'love' written in it is from Live & Love Crafts.  This fabulous shaped card was made with dies from Go Kreate.

Below is my flower arrangement. I used flowers from I Am Roses and Wild Orchid Crafts. The sparkly heart is my own creation. I die cut a heart onto double stick tape stuck on heavy white cardstock and sprinkled Crystal Stars Glitter - Rose on it. Then I covered it all with Glossy Accents and while it was wet I added another sprinkle of Crystal Stars Glitter. When that dried, I added one more layer of Glossy Accents. It's very 3-D, but smooth and you can see depth due to the Glossy Accents.

And my bow was made on my Craft-Dee BowZ tool which is why it looks so nice. This little tool is outstanding, inexpensive, handy to hang by the ribbon and easy to use! This double looped, double ribboned, bow came out so pretty and I hope the photo captures it well for you to see. The red jewel in the center has crinkled foil on the back, making it look sparkly.

The winner of the January Craft-Dee BowZ challenge of ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HAND MADE BOW will be 2 images of their choice from Cute as a Button. Along with that you'll get our badge to put on your blog. I hope you'll join us this month and your time is running out so get your card posted to the Craft-Dee BowZ challenge blog soon!

                                                                                         Hugs,
                                                             Gail

On Dasher!

I've been invited to be the Guest Designer at Cute As A Button for this challenge. I'm honored and thrilled to have been invited to have the chance to join this talented Design Team for this challenge of WINTER. I've used this image named Tangled Lights. Isn't this image the sweetest ever!  I love her and want to thank Francesca for letting me use her for this challenge. I love using red at the holidays. I think the bright colors are fabulous at Christmas because they're happy colors and red at the holidays is perfect!

I colored my image with Copics and added some Glossy Accents to each light bulb. The pearl in the center of the bow in the corner is a brad with the legs cut off and glued on.

I used white iridescent sequins and added itsy bitsy pearls in the center of each (since I don't like the holes showing in the sequins). Her little white tail has white fun flock on it for a fluffy look. My sentiment tags are from Lili of the Valley and I tied them to the bit of red lace and tan edging on top of the lace with embossing floss. The reindeer in my arrangement is a button from Dress It Up and I cut off the shank and glued him in, and the candy cane is actually a miniature ornament from Hobby Lobby. The pinecones, which are real, and the silk flowers have a dash of gold paint on all of them and I added a small gold bell to my red, green and white baker's twine bow. I used papers by Doodlebug. The 3 gold glitter flat backed pearls are from JoAnns. I spotted her bag and then added a dash of glitter to each dot for sparkle.

I hope you'll stop by the Cute As A Button Challenge Blog and see the outstanding projects the Design Team has made to inspire you to join the challenge of WINTER.

Thank you, Francesca and the Team, for inviting me to be your Guest Designer this week and for all your kindness and words of encouragement!

                                                                           Hugs,
                                                  Gail
