My seashell dies are from Impression Obsession and my seahorse and jellyfish are Magnolia dies. After inking the edges of the seahorse and jellyfish, I used my favorite Sakura glue pen and then covered them completely with Cool Glitter Ritz. The small seashells were die cut, and embossed, and then inked and covered with glue and then Cool Glitter Ritz all over them. The cloud die is from My Favorite Things and I can't remember who makes the ocean wave die! I got it just recently and wrote it down, but I'm not where I can see my note! I used Spellbinders dies around my image.
I colored my image with Copics and I used yellow chalk and then soft aqua chalk for around my image. I like the way the chalk goes on with one of those little round pompoms. It doesn't make a mess and it doesn't show up if it gets on my image a little bit. I applied Wink of Stella to the flowers on her sandals and hat and put a little Glossy Accents on the lemonade glass.
I hoped making this card would make me feel cooler in our 100+ temperatures, but it didn't.
Thanks for stopping and looking at my card!
Hugs,
Gail

What a great summer card -- all those bright colors and happy image!! She does look as if she's enjoying a bit of paradise. Love the seahorse and jellyfish you've added, along with the seashells - makes for that "ocean" feeling of buoyancy. Perfect sunshine paper for the background, as well as the "wavy" looking diecut. Once again, an outstanding card, Gail !!
ReplyDeleteHi Gail what a gorgeous card I love the image and your design is wonderful.
