Oh Deer!

It's time for a new challenge at Christmas at Sweet Stampin' and for this month it's OH DEER!  As you may have guessed from the challenge name, your card needs to have one or more deer on it.  I used this reindeer image from C.C. Designs for my card. I love reindeer stamps, images, pictures...and I'm sure it comes from being raised in Connecticut. Two years ago I bought a set of felt antlers and took pictures of my beagle  Bailey wearing them and scrapbooked the page. Whenever I see paper, a die, an embellishment...if it's a deer or moose...it's coming home with me.

I love cute Christmas cards and this image is beyond cute!  I was going to make this card CAS but I had such great embellishments in my stash...and this string of lights that I bought at Hobby Lobby many years ago (I think it was in 2009) was too perfect as well as the wooden deer (or is that a moose?) that I used in the middle of my red silk bow that I got at Michael's about 4 years ago. Why do I know it was that long ago?  It was before cardmaking bit me and I was scrapbooking!  My cute reindeer paper is from Doodlebug.  I used one die on my card, the stitched rectangle around my image.

I colored my image with Copics and then applied Glossy Accents on the lights (with a sprinkle of iridescent glitter) and his nose so they're shiny, although it doesn't show so well in the photos.
