Starting August 13 this challenge will have ONE posting for all of the Design Team's inspirational cards for you. We will no longer be split into two teams and are combining our forces to give you as many ideas as possible when the challenge is first posted.
Here's my DT card for this challenge--KRAFTY CHRISTMAS. I used an adorable rubber stamp from Little Miss Muffet named Swings 'n Slides Snowballs.
I layered brown kraft paper on top of my base card of navy blue. Then I took a sheet of scrapbook paper that was plaid and cut two strips layered them with dark brown paper and put some tan lace between the plaid papers. It needed some color...I couldn't just do brown, sorry!! The snowflake dies are by Spellbinders and I used thick white embossing powder on them. I used a CK punch to cut out my sentiment is by Cardz TV. The blue pearls are from Queen & Co. (my favorite rhinestone and pearl company).
My image is colored with Copics and I used Cool Glitter Ritz on the snowballs and the pom-pom on his hat. I used white thick embossing powder to represent snow. I used some tiny light blue rhinestones on the scallops around my image for more color. What can I say...I like color!
Our sponsor for this month's challenge is StampArt Design by Kathryne who has donated five digital images! These are some of the cutest digitals you'll find and every one is 'clean' and 'clear' when you resize it to print. And yes, I'm now noticing which companies sell 'dirty' images vs. 'clean' images!
The gals at Christmas at Sweet Stampin' have made some awesome cards for this challenge of KRAFTY CHRISTMAS and we'd love to see you enter this challenge. The prize is awesome and who doesn't need to start Christmas cards now?!
Thanks for coming by and leave a little comment if you like this card!
Hugs,
Gail

Oooo, this blue and brown is awesome together! I love that plaid and all the "snow" you've added around the image, as well as the snowflakes. Poor guy had best find his gloves or mittens, though, as his hands will freeze handling that snow - LOL. The pearls are the perfect embellishment on this card, as well as the lace, gems and snowflakes. Great job, as always, Gail, and another card to add to your holiday stash!!
ReplyDeleteThis is just one amazing creation Gail! I LOVE the plaid, the gorgeous snowflakes, and the lace. What a great combination. Thanks so much for joining us at the Hambo Hoedown - Christmas in July Challenge.
