I chose papers from the Doodlebug pad named Sugar Shoppe. The pennant I made with my new Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio tool. I punched the pennants and then the self-adhesive pennant acrylic banner shape went on top of the punched pennants (one at a time). I glued the pennants onto thin pink craft wire. I used the thick 3-d dots to adhere it to my card. The corner die cut is by Quic Kutz. I used an "Around the Border" punch by Martha Stewart as the base of my card. The cupcakes horizontally across the card is actually washi tape by Doodlebug and I taped it on white paper and then added the strip of dark teal and the ribbon between the strips of washi tape. The sentiment is by The Stamps of Life that I saw at the Creating Keepsakes Convention in Phoenix. I don't recommend the stamps. The set I have are all small sentiments and as I use them, I keep finding that some of the letters are "cut off" on the clear stamp, so when I stamp them, they're not whole. I've returned them once only to get a second set that has the same issues as the first set. The ice cream cone in the middle of my bow is a button. I adore these types of buttons by Dress It Up! You can see the ice cream cones here. The turquoise pearls in the corners are by Queen & Co., the rhinestones on the image and the ribbon are from my supply stock.
I colored this adorable image with Copics and whitened the polka dots on her dress with a dash of white paint on a toothpick.
The Design Teams have both gotten together this week and posted cards on the Challenge Blog. It's not often you see cards from all of us in one place since we're split into two teams, so please take a moment to take a look at the creations we made to inspire you! And as usual, we are sponsored by The Paper Shelter who is giving away this prize:
If you have a Paper Shelter image, ANY PAPER SHELTER IMAGE, this is the perfect time to color it up since the challenge is ANYTHING GOES. If your name is drawn and you've used a Paper Shelter image, the prize is a $30 gift certificate versus 3 digitals if you use a different brand stamp.
Thanks for stopping by and leave a little comment if you like my card!
Hugs,
Gail
