Happy Mother's Day!

This image is one of many featuring "Ellie", an image by The Paper Nest, which I won in a challenge at Treasured Times. I thought this image would make a great Mother's Day card for my Mom this year. Her favorite color is yellow. The Mother's Day card for my MIL is posted here.

The daisies are by Martha Stewart, the leaf vine diecut is by Ellentina, the teeny tiny butterflies are a diecut by Memory Box and the corner diecut is by QuicKutz. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up and I used a punch by Stampin' Up to cut it out. The yellow flat back buttons on top of the corner diecuts are by Pebbles and the pink pearls are from the neverending strip of pink pearls that my best friend, Lillian, sent to me and I continue to use. Here's a close-up of Ellie.

Coloring hair is a challenge for me. The Paper Nest blog has hair color guides and Heather adds more samples of hair color guides all the time and I used one of them for Ellie's hair. I colored the image with Copics and added Cool Glitter Ritz to the polka dots on her dress and on the edges of the butterflies and daisies.

Well, if Mom doesn't like this card, I'll have a Hallmark back-up with me. J
