Little Jack and Bushels

I was invited to be the Guest Designer today at Paradise of Stamps where the new challenge topic is "BOYS" -- your card needs to have a boy image on it.  I used this rubber stamped image by Elisabeth Bell named Little Jack and Bushels "Painting the Fence". Making boy cards isn't something I do very often and it was quite a challenge to not add lace, flowers, ribbon and pearls!

I colored my image with Copics and used Glossy Accents to make the paint look wet. I used EK punches for my sentiment, the oval dies are a nesting set by Quic Kutz, and the fence is a die by My Favorite Things.  There's a brass buckle at the top corner that I wrapped the baker's twine around and on the bottom is a brass corner that I  added a few dark blue rhinestones.  The brass pieces are from Stampin' Up.

Poor Jack had to paint this old worn fence during his summer vacation and you can see he's gotten a bit too much sun on his back!  And his friend, Bushels, is smart enough to stay out of the way of that paint!

Thank you, Laurigami, for inviting me to be your Guest for this challenge and thank you to the Design Team for their nice comments about my card.  I hope you'll visit Paradise of Stamps and see the awesome projects made by the Design Team to inspire you to join in this BOY challenge.
