Robins, Cardinals, Bluebirds...

Hello everyone and welcome to September!  As is customary, today starts a new challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ where our challenge is ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HANDMADE BOW.  Our sponsor this month is Beccy's Place and I chose this very pretty image called Baby Robin.  I've started my Christmas cards knowing that my schedule is going to go crazy with the upcoming holidays.

I colored my image with Copics and to keep with the theme of the image, I added some holly and berries

My two double looped bows, one slid within the other, are my finishing touch. This was so easy to do with my bow tool. making the smaller bow first, then making the larger bow and keeping in on my tool and sliding the smaller one in the loop was simple to do!

Our sponsor this month is Beccy's Place.  The winner receives one set of digital stamps!

The team has made some adorable cards with Beccy's Place images and I hope you'll take a look at them and be inspired! I hope you'll join us this month at Craft-Dee BowZ for our ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HAND MADE BOW challenge!

It's getting closer and closer...

It's November 1 and time for a new challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ!  The big holiday is approaching fast. With this season comes cooler temps and some people get that white stuff, too. With that white stuff you get to make one of the below. I love snowmen images. Haven't seen too many unhappy or ugly snowmen images, either. This image is from Beccy's Place and his name is Maurice

Here's a close-up of this adorable snow angel. I colored him with Copics and added a bit of glitter for some sparkle. I found this great paper in my stash of paper pads and had a die of these trees that went perfect with the paper.

And then there's the bow. I used seam binding and made a bow with 4 loops using my bow tool. You can see how nice the bow came out and the knot in the middle is smooth and perfect!  I love this little bow tool and if you've never tried one and use bows on your projects, you NEED this bow tool. It's the most economical, easy to use and small enough to hang on a push pin.

Tough times

It's a new month and time for a new challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ. The challenge this month is ANYTHING GOES AND ADD A HANDMADE BOW!  My card this month is watercolored with Peerless Watercolors. I often forget I have this wonderful coloring medium as Copics seem to be my first grab, but I do adore watercolor pictures and thought I'd give it a try. I might have to reconsider my favorite coloring medium since I love the blending I was able to achieve with the watercolors! I used this perfect image by Beccy's Place for my card.
I hope that those of you who look at this post can see what I see and what I attempted to show...that no matter how bleak or dreary it is or how tough times are right now, there is a light shining out there for each of us.

And here's the bow. The ribbon is wrapped around my image outlined in black and I made a triple looped bow. Thank you, Donna at CDB, for providing the ribbons I use each month. This blue ribbon tied absolutely beautifully and is the one and only embellishment on this card. My bow tool is the most wonderful tool I own and I keep it right next to my work table since I use it so often. I can make so many different sizes with ease and every single bow comes out wonderful!
Our sponsor this month is the wonderful Beccy's Place.  The image and sentiment I used come in a set named Splish Splash Set . There are also two other wonderful images and three additional sentiments in this set, too! This set caught my eye because of the options of watercoloring, using watercolor markers, even using my Copic air compressor (if I begin to have Copic withdrawal).
Beccy's Place will provide the winner of the challenge with their choice of one set of digital stamps. Yes, that's correct, a whole set!!

I hope you'll join us this month at Craft-Dee BowZ where ANYTHING GOES AND ADD A HANDMADE BOW!
