I interpreted this image to be a bird with the snowman. I colored him to be a baby robin, then I did another card and colored him to be a baby cardinal. Then I'm not sure what happened except that I looked at my cards and thought: OMG is this supposed to be a penguin with the snowman?! So, on that note, this is to tell you that artists can interpret things different from each other and I interpreted this to be a baby bird. I colored my image with Copics and added glitter by Stampendous named "Snow" to my snowman's body.
My bow is a triple loop made with blue seam binding and I glued a metal snowflake in the middle of the knot just to carry on the theme of snow. Using my bow tool guarantees me great bows. By not having to hold it all in my hands, and letting the bow tool do most of the work, I spend less time and use less ribbon since there are no mistakes!
Our sponsor this month is Bugaboo Stamps. As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was six years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing! From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects. Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!
The challenge prize this month is FOUR digital images, winner's choice, from Bugaboo Stamps!
Have you seen each of the Team's projects this month? Each Tuesday one of us posts so please take a look and if you have a moment, please leave a comment. I hope you'll join us this month at Craft-Dee BowZ for our ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HAND MADE BOW challenge!

Oh, you made me laugh! I don't know how many times I have done something like this. I love that we can be versatile in our interpretations!! It is a darling card and I love snowmen also!
ReplyDeleteSnowmen and the color blue go together for that chilly look. What an adorable image, Gail, and love the texture you've given him. Adorable bow, and the silver snowflake sets it off. Your three brads at the top, with the texture on them, actually look like snowballs! And, you're exactly right -- you can come up with your own adaptation as to whether it's a bird or penguin. Fabby creation, as always, my snow friend !!
