I've used this image from Lili of the Valley for my card and colored him with Copics.
My papers are by Doodlebug...my most favorite brand of cute and adorable papers. The snowflakes up the sides are by Memory Box and I added some white 3-D paint in the middle of each snowflake and then sprinkled glitter on the wet paint. My sentiment is from Lili of the Valley. I colored my entire snowman with Susie Sparkle Snowfall Glitter using my Sakura Glue Pen. Oh, and a dash of Glossy accents to the bird feeder so it looks like glass in person. To make the snow on the ground 3-D, I first put down some white 3-D paint and then sprinkled the glitter on top. I like doing that when I'm wanting more than a flat sparkle surface. The red rhinestones are from my collection of supplies.
So, who is our sponsor for this challenge? ME! Our small, and talented, team at Christmas at Sweet Stampin' is happy to jump in whenever we can to always have a prize for our drawing and so this month I offered to be the sponsor!! You don't have to leave a comment on each design team member's blog (we're a small team of 6) to win the prize, but it would be appreciated. Everyone can use a little encouragement and a kind word or two, so please leave a little note if you like what we've made.
The Team at Christmas at Sweet Stampin' makes outstanding Christmas cards since that's what we love to do. I hope you'll join us for our challenge of SNOWFLAKES!
Hugs,
Gail
This is fantastic Gail, love the super cute snowman and the banner design is brilliant. I must be the only person who would actually like to see a bit of snow before winter is out...it would beat the warm, wet winter we have had so far in the UK!! xx
ReplyDeleteHaha, it's no wonder you enjoy winter and snowflakes, girl, when you're living in AZ and rarely experience the brutal conditions of Jack Frost :)
ReplyDeleteBut, I have to admit, your card is very cute! Lovely array of bright, happy papers for your banner background and the LOTV image is adorable (can't forget about feeding our feathered friends). The sequins are a nice addition, as are the snowflake borders. You've caught the essence of winter, Gail !!
A fabulous card. Great image fab design x
ReplyDeleteThere's something about LotV Snowmen that appeals to crafters everywhere, no matter their preferred style, and you've certainly done this little chap justice! Love the combination of design papers, which add lots of interest but don't distract the eye from the fabulous image. Hugs xx
ReplyDeleteHi Gail, a truly gorgeous card, a snow fall here would be wonderful, I'm suffering in the Aussie Summer Heat! The cooler weather is coming, the trees are begininng to colour and a few fallen leaves are about... love the doodlebug papers, I have that very set, it can sometimes be hard to get... I'm still using the 2012 paper set! Thank you for the inspiration ...Megan
