Nativity Scenes

I love nativity sets and I think that comes from going to a Roman Catholic school as a child. We were brought up in the church and saw nativity scenes all the time. The topic at Christmas at Sweet Stampin' for the next 4 weeks is "NATIVITY".  I used this beautiful digital stamp from Whimsy for my card that I just purchased. This image reminds me of the Christmas song "While Shepherds Watched." And what better way to start the year...with a new baby named Jesus.

The lambs were painted with my new white puffy paint pen and then I used my heat gun and it fluffed. Perfect lamb wool! I colored my image with Copics. My poinsettias are made with my punches by Nellie Snellen and the leaves are a punch by Martha Stewart. The purple beaded flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the purple bling is from Recollections--both of which I received for Christmas this year. I used white embossing powder on my sentiment. My card is a 6" square, and my favorite fold and size to work with. I feel like I can use larger digital images that way but still have space for embellishments and a sentiment.
