My Best Friend

This week we have the perfect challenge for you at Crafty Sentiments Challenge Blog. The challenge is ANYTHING GOES.

The image I chose at Crafty Sentiments Designs is named My Best Friend. This image shows this young boy with his dog and I imagine that this is me with my beagle dog, Bailey. My Bailey has been with me for 12 years now and has been with me through so much. He is the one constant friend I've had and still loves me.

I used 3 different washi tapes and 2 buttons besides the red paper and the old wood plank paper. I colored my image with Copics. This card is pretty different from my usual style, but I love how it came out! Here's a close-up of my image.

I colored the image and then went through my paper pads to find paper for it. when I ran across a  6"x6" paper pad by My Mind's Eye that had all wood looking paper and found this paper that matched my bench, it was the perfect match. It's the first time I've colored something and THEN looked for paper to match and I have to admit, it worked out great.
