I love girly cards, flowers, butterflies, pearls and all things pretty!

This week the challenge at Crafty Sentiments Designs Challenge Blog is Anything Goes. I used this adorable image from Crafty Sentiments Designs named I Love Flowers.

I used an older piece of design paper for my background and a solid salmon and a solid soft yellow as layers. I love the color peach/apricot and I love this peach and soft yellow together! The paper doily is from a restaurant named '11:30 the Restaurant' in the Center where I work. I was taken there for my birthday by my friend, Bobbi, and they served us extra salad dressing with doilies under the dressings. I swiped the doilies cause I thought they were extra pretty! The butterflies (with a bit of stickles on the edges) are a die by Memory box, the sentiment is by Lili of the Valley and I used a Stampin' Up punch on the sentiment. My flowers are from Wild Orchid and I used a button with the shank cut off and glued it in the middle of my bow (and colored with Copics to match my card). The pretty yellow pearls (pearls are my birthstone) are from Queen & Co.  I used two different washi tapes on the bottom of my image just because (If I could have thought of a good reason for using the washi tape, I would tell you!). Here's a close-up of this sweet image.

I colored my image with Copics but ran into a dilemma after coloring her pants. I had used Copic #RV32 and couldn't find a darker shade to use for shading. I took out my Prisma pencils and found #928 was a bit darker than RV32 so this card is a combination of marker and pencil. Oh, that little curl in the corner of the image--it's a leftover from when I used a corner punch a while ago.
