Summer has arrived!

This card is my first card as Guest Design Team member of Crafty Sentiments Challenge Blog. You can see my new badge over on the right side of my blog. I'm so excited to have been invited to join the team for the next six months!  The challenge this week at the Crafty Sentiments Challenge Blog is SUMMER OR SUMMER COLORS. What an easy topic and I know we'll have lots of entries!

The stamp I used is named Primrose - Beach Life. I fell in love with her as I was cruising the Crafty Sentiments Designs site.



I colored my image with Copics and after I colored it, I felt it needed some highlighting and I used yellow chalk from my Pebbles Inc. Pearlescent Chalk set around the image and also I chalked my sentiment with it, too, for a tint of yellow. My sentiment is from Crafty Sentiments Designs, too. I used REAL beach sand and shells that I had collected when we vacationed in San Diego, California, USA. I think my paper adds a lot to this card and it's from the Doodlebug "Springtime" pad. The die around my image is from Spellbinders. The daisies are by Martha Stewart and I am loving my cool Glitter Ritz lately becuase it's so fine and it actually sparkles in photos! And this card has some of my favorite lace on it..the kind where I can weave the ribbon through it. The rest of the items on my card are from my stash.

Here's a close-up of my image. The polka dot colors on her swimsuit match the polka dot paper. J
