I water-colored this image on hot pressed watercolor paper. I used my Spellbinders dies to cut the 2 layers of my image. I used a die cut on this card which may be hard to see, but it is awesome--can you see the barbed wire fence and post die along the bottom of the card? The die is by My Favorite Things. I put some silver glitter on the barbed wire. I cut the back off of a horse button and glued it on a concho belt buckle. I did my own sentiment on the computer and used my Stampin' Up punch to cut it out.
Have you heard about the prize associated with The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog? You can go from 3 digis if you win with a stamp from the 'other' guys, or you can get a $30 gift certificate (equal to a whole lot more than 3 digis) if you use one of The Paper Shelter images! Take a look at the stamps HERE and pick up an image or two since that small purchase will line your pockets if you win!
At some point we all need a card that isn't all pretty pink with ribbon and flowers, right? So, whether you need it right now, or will need it in the future, why not make a card now for the MAKE IT MANLY (a creation for a male--any age) and enter it in this challenge? The gals at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog made some great cards for you to look at for inspiration. Take a click on over HERE, get an idea or two, and then get out your image and let's see you move along, pardner, and enter this here challenge.

ReplyDeleteYeeHaw, what a fantastic example of a 100% western card !! Such coordination -- horse bg paper, barbed wire fencing (hope you didn't shock yourself or get poked on the spikes!), burlap style bow, perfect horse charm on the buckle, denim diecut border and then AWESOME coloring - this pardner looks as if he could jump right off the card and pop you with his cork-gun - hahahaha.
