My Dandelion Fairy

So many fairies...so little time. I love fairies and have many fairy stamps that have never seen ink. This little fairy is from Lili of the Valley and I think she's beautiful. I had fun coloring her with my Copics and tried a new technique that I saw done but haven't experimented much with...feathering. Her wings are a blend of 2 shades of pink and 2 shades of green which are a favorite color combination of mine.

My fairy's wings are coated with Warm Glitter Ritz (loose glitter) and I only wish you could see them in person...they came out even better than I expected. I used Stardust Stickles on the edges of all my flowers.

I used two leaf dies by Poppy on this card and overlayed them. The other dies are the corner die by Whimsy and the circle die around my image is by Marianne. The polka dot button is from Doodlebug and I think they're my favorite buttons! My flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The larger pink and green pearls are from Queen & Co. Don't you just love their bling?!

The tiny pink pearls around the image are the courtesy of my best friend, Lillian.  If you've looked at my cards for a bit, you'll see the common denominator on pink cards are these tiny pink pearls. And if you keep watching my blog, you'll see them on upcoming cards, too. I finally sat down and figured out how many tiny pink pearls are in the package that Lillian sent to me. Get ready:  5 rows of 100 in each row for a total of 500 little pink pearls. I've used about 60 so far. I'm watching for upcoming challenges that require pearls. Hahaha! On a serious note, thank you, Lillian, because look at how perfect these pink pearls look on the diecut around my image!

My papers were free when I purchased a card magazine...but I didn't use the paper that came in the magazine since it was two sided and flimsy. I photocopied it onto my nice smooth Neenah cardstock and used my photocopied paper. The layout from this card is from Digi Sketch, and the link to their blog is below.

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a peek at this card!

                                                                                 Hugs,
                                                                                 Gail
