Little Prima Ballerina

This is an awesome Mo Manning digital. I thought she was cute in black and white and I adore her even more after coloring her in my favorite pink/peach colors. This little sweetie is practicing to be a prima ballerina someday.

My ballerina is colored with Copics and her tutu is decorated with Stickles. I embossed pink Frantage around the edge of the image. I put a second layer of paper behind the round image and then used a Quik Cutz diecut for my card shape. I glued the entire topper to a round and very heavy white cardstock to support the front of the card. I added cheesecloth between the cardstock layers.

I used a Martha Stewart punch for the white leaves in my flowers from Wild Orchid (which are new--aren't the new rosebuds and the poppies wonderful!), and an EK punch for the butterflies. By adding the flowers and the butterflies, I have the 3-D texture that I love and I think makes the card totally girly. I used a glue pen and added white WOW glitter to the edges on the 3 butterflies; the pearls are from Queen & Co. I added the pinkish/peachy seam binding ribbon bow and glued a flat backpearl in the middle. The assorted little round balls of pink/peach color are styrofoam and were on a flower stem. I think they make the entire flower arrangement even prettier than if I added more leaves. I have a container of these types of doo-dads from flower bouquets and such and every so often remember to go through it to find something "different" for a card.
