I had a fabulous time coloring this image and making this card (it's 6"x6"). It was downright fun. I was able to be super girly and used the awesome color combination of pink and red. I think I missed the Valentine boat, don't you?! I used my Copics because I had an awesome variety of pinks and blending the reds is pretty easy with these markers.
Because I used so many different dies and punches, I wrote them down the items as I went (there is a first time for everything!). This card should prove to many companies that I am working very hard at doing my part to keep them in business. So, here's the list:
Dies: Whimsy corner, La-La Land banner, Marianne Crafts fence, Impression Obsession watering can, Joy grass.
Punches: Stampin' Up (around sentiment), EK Butterfly
Paper: Doodlebug (isn't this paper awesome...bright, cheerful and so pretty!)
Flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts (paper); Kaisercraft (resin)
And, the small pearls are from my BFF, Lillian, and came in a humongous strip about 12" long and like 10 rows across (I still have lots of pink pearls this size!) and I used WOW! glitter with Aleene's white glue on the edges of the butterflies. I used Star Dust Stickles on the flowers. Unfortunately glitter just doesn't photograph very well and you don't see the pretty effect of either. :(
Here's a close up of this cute cute image. I fell in love with her when I saw her in black and white so I am tickled pink (and red) to show her off in living color!
I hope you'll take a look at the cards the Design Team have made this week. I think you'll be inspired by them and remember:
(Click on this badge to take you to TPS to purchase your digi!)
So, to remind you of the challenge: Make It Bloom PLUS a Sentiment (you must use at least 5 flowers not including any flowers on the image or any flowers on your design paper). Please note that if you do not follow the challenge rules, your card will be omitted from the drawing. (I hate to see that happen but rules are rules.)Hugs,
Gail

ReplyDeleteThis is great coloring, Gail -- you've got the shading down to perfection!! Love all the diecuts you used on this -- the banner, the butterflies (I can see the glittery outline!!), the grass, the fence (is adorable) and the sprinkling can -- wow, a real aluminum can to make it look truly authentic!! And, I can't forget to mention your beautiful bouquet of flowers -- you are not only a great bow tie-er, but you have a way with flower arrangements, too !! Just a super spring card any way you look at it, and apparently she has a green thumb, too, as her flowers are doing wonderful, just as your new garden is beginning to flourish !! Good luck on multiple wins in the challenges you entered !!
