White on white. Okay, so you'd think it would be a slam dunk, right, cause you don't have to pick an image, pick the papers, the embellishments and then color it all to match. WRONG. I wasted so much paper that I had to empty my trash can after this ONE project. You think I'm kidding...ask my husband Tim and my beagles. Do you know that they all went to bed without me for over a week?! I had to climb in, and work my way around the beagles and a cat who decided: Mom's not sleeping here, and it sure is a nice soft spot and smells just like her! So, here is my work of art. I can't be the only cardmaker who has struggled with WoW, so please leave me a little note below since misery loves company.
The background of the trees is an embossing folder and I didn't keep the package so I don't know by whom. The branch (that I just cut multiple times and stacked) is by Cheery Lynn. The ornament is a die by Memory Box. I made my two hatpins (which I LOVE making and using now) and the bow is double faced satin with a snowflake button glued on top (I can't live without ribbon). I used white paint and added the little dots that represent snowflakes. THAT'S IT GALS AND GUYS...nothing to it, right? Well, let me tell you...this is a one-of-a-kind card and I'm not planning on gifting this to anyone. As a matter of fact, I just might frame it.
This card is my DT card for the challenge at
Christmas at Sweet Stampin'. The gals on the team have made awesome cards for this challenge which is entitled White on White. There's a twist to our challenge, though, and that is: YOU ARE PERMITTED TO USE A COLORED IMAGE PROVIDED THE REST OF THE CARD IS ALL WHITE. Now, feel free to do a totally WoW card if you wish, but if you prefer some color on your card, you can use a colored image.
Our sponsor this month is
Christmas at Sweet Stampin'. Yes, you read correctly...we're the sponsor this month and a goody package picture will be posted on the blogsite. I'm really looking forward to getting more ideas from you all, so please enter the challenge!
Thanks for looking at this valuable card and feel free to leave a note about your experiences with WoW cards.
Hugs,
Gail

Your card is gorgeous - definitely worth all the effort :) I love the beautiful dies, the snowy scene and your gorgeous hat pins. I often get stuck on projects - sometimes they work and sometimes nothing seems to. It is not uncommon for me to stay up till the wee hours working on a card and my cat always keeps my spot warm too.
