Well, it's time for a new challenge at The Paper Shelter Blog and our topic is CHRISTMAS IS COMING! This beautiful image is from our sponsors The Paper Shelter.
My little image's name is Yep, I have my methods. Click on the link to the left and see how he looks all colored and the background color, too! And you can color him yourself with the black and white option. My last posted Paper Shelter card was Fantasy on Ice and it was wonderful to use the already beautifully colored image. This week I sat and enjoyed coloring Santa myself. To put the card in perspective, this card is 6"x6".
My papers are from Doodlebug and I made the poinsettias with my Nellie Snellen poinsettia punches and a brad in the center. I used a Cheery Lynn die for the vines. The sentiment is one of many that I don't know the brand and I stamped it in green. The red metallic round brads in the corners are actually stick-ons!
I colored my image with Copics and used some 3d white paint and then sprinkled WOW white glitter on top of it, and then I used clear Rock Glitter by Ranger for Santa's beard. I used Star Dust Stickles all over the balloon. For those of you who dislike glitter...there's nothing wrong with your house looking sparkling. I think it takes the attention off the little fuzzy kitty hair balls rolling around.
Something to note about our challenge: if you enter, and get picked, you win 3 stamps....and that's a sweet prize. But, if you enter, get picked and used a Paper Shelter image, you rock! Look below:
You can more than triple your winnings using a Paper Shelter image in the challenge. Check out the images and get one that is versatile for you!
The Design Team has made some awesome cards this week to get your all inspired. Please come on over to The Paper Shelter Blog, see the cards, then come on over to The Paper Shelter, buy a stamp (and trust me...it's difficult to pick out just one) and make a card for our challenge...the cost of one stamp is tiny compared to what you can win!!
Let's see those cards depicting CHRISTMAS IS COMING this week!!!!
Hugs
Gail

ReplyDeleteHi Gail! I found your sweet blog through Paper Sweeties. By the way, congratulations on your win over there. The easel card you shared was awesome, I enjoyed browsing all through your blog to see the sweet creations, and I'm delighted with all your creations. You are super duper talented, and I'm definitely inspired. I was also VERY excited to see that you live in Arizona. I live in Nevada (sort of your neighbor), and I don't have near as many participants from the U.S. as I'd like to at my challenge blog. I would absolutely LOVE to have you stop by and share your wonderful creations in our challenges. Every Wednesday a new challenge begins, and they are always Anything Goes as long as they're family-friendly (which yours certainly are)! I really do hope that you will stop by to check us out and play along with us. You can share up to five projects per week and that's ANY type of art. It would be SUCH a tremendous blessing to have you share your talents with us. We have awesome prizes each week too, so you can win some really lovely prizes. I hope you will join us.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed week!
