This card was featured on the Paper Playtime Facebook on 8/26/13!
Many years ago Hallmark came out with a line of Christmas stamps called Frosty and Friends. They were released year after year, different ornaments but with the same two characters...an Eskimo and a penguin. This is a new digital image by Mo Manning named Snow Pals and as soon as I saw it, I thought of those Hallmark ornaments. I love the shape of this card and I saw it on Julie Price's blog named Stamps, Paper, Ribbons n Things.
This card is all pink and white, although the background paper looks more red than pink in the photo. The image is colored with Copics and I used Stampendous Crystal Snow glitter. I used Spellbinders and Sizzix dies and punches for the sentiment. I accented the image with tiny pearls and a metal penguin brad was colored to match the image sentiment by Whimsy. The large snowflake is an ornament. There's a bit of cheesecloth behind the snowflake and the little silver metal snowman is from my stash.
Here's another view of the card.
I never thought I'd see the day I buy a digital image and for a long time swore I never would. But as I see more and more cute digital images, the price of rubber stamps increases, and I have many Spellbinders dies that are a little too small for most of my rubber images, I'm now the proud owner of over a hundred digital images!
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
Hugs,
Gail
