Isn't she CHARMING?

There's a new challenge at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog...this week it's CHARMING -- USE A CHARM ON YOUR CARD. I hardly consider this a challenge since it's something I often do, but it is so much fun to find the charm you want to use and then find an image to fit it!  If you have a collection of charms and wonder which image to you, let me suggest you go to The Paper Shelter and pick an image from the store for your card. For using a store image, if your card is chosen as the winner, the prize is well worth the cost of the image!!  I used this super cute image named Refreshing Time.

My image is colored with Copics and I've added Glossy Accents to her eye glasses, sunglasses and her glass of lemonade. I added some clear Wink of Stella on the fan wind going around, but it's not showing up well in the photos. That's a Spellbinders die that is the turquoise under my image and it's been embossed.  I used my trusty little rounded corner punch on my image. The tiny red gems are from Queen & Co. This is my favorite layout and I love being able to use two or more papers to bring more color to my cards...and my papers are from Doodlebug.

Here's a close-up of these pretty die cut butterflies and I added pearls for their bodies. My die cut daisies are a gift from my best friend, Lillian who cut them out of white for me and send me a bunch so I colored them with my Copics to match the daisies on her hat. I used brown paint in the middle of the daisies and then added brown flocking while the paint was wet for texture in the center. The daisy leaves are a die by Marianne.  Oh, if you look at the pic below, you can see the  Wink of Stella on the fan breeze!

My sentiment is from Whimsy and I used my big EK punch to cut out the circle.  The yellow felt die cut doily is from Michael's. The red satin bow is a double loop and the flip flop charm is from my stash of charms. I pick up charms everywhere I go and can't keep track of where each one came from! I used red embroidery thread to die my charm to my satin bow.

Our sponsor, The Paper Shelter, generously donates this awesome prize each week...a $30 voucher if your card/project is chosen and you've used an image from The Paper Shelter. If you win and you've used a non-TPS stamp, your win is 3 images of your choice.
