Coloring Easter Eggs

It's time for a new challenge at Cutie Pie Challenge Blog. And this one is going to be fun for everyone.  The challenge is:  BUNNIES AND CHICKS.  We're gearing up for Easter and so pull out those cute images!  I used this cute image from Pink Gem Designs named Bunny Painting Egg.

This is a stair stepped card and so you can see how it opens, there's another photo below that might explain it. It's easy to make and makes for a fun cute card! I love this paper and it's by Doodlebug.
I colored my image with Copics and the tiny butterflies flying around him are by Memory Box and I added a touch of glitter to each of their wings. The swirls on the sides are by QuicKutz and the daisy die cut and grass are by Joy and I put yellow flocking on the centers of the daisies.  I used my Cuttlebug machine to cut out the dies. The eggs across the bottom are actually buttons with their backs cut off and glued on my card.

The team at the Cutie Pie Challenge Blog have made some adorably CUTE cards to inspire you to join us for this challenge of BUNNIES AND CHICKS! Please take a look at their creations!

Our sponsor is Pink Gem Designs. And the prize is 2 "single" digi stamps of the winner's choice!

Happy Easter!

There's a new challenge at Little Miss Muffet Stamps Challenge Blog starting today!  It's a favorite of everyone...ANYTHING GOES. I used this adorable stamp by Little Miss Muffet Stamps named Polka Dot Pals Neomie Easter.

I colored this image with Copics and got a little carried away with the grass. I was trying to make tall grass. I experimented with stitching on this card. I wasn't trying to keep my stitching straight, so the above is not a poor sewing job, but an experiment to see if I can overlap and do a 'scribble' sewing stitch.

We're sponsored by our own Little Miss Muffet Stamps and one lucky winner will be awarded a $10.00 Gift Voucher to the LMMS shop!

The team at Little Miss Muffet Stamps Challenge blog have some outstanding creations to share with you and I hope you'll visit and join the ANYTHING GOES challenge.

Baa Baa Black Sheep

There's a new challenge at Little Miss Muffet Stamps Challenge Blog starting today!  It's a favorite of everyone...ANYTHING GOES. I used this adorable stamp by Little Miss Muffet Stamps named Claribella Sitting.

I fell in love with this little lamb and as I picked my colors, I began singing "Baa Baa Black Sheep Have You Any Wool" song that I grew up with. So, my little lamb is black and I used black flock all over her except her hoofs and face since I wanted to be able to see her face and coloring it black just wasn't an option. So, she really is soft and fluffy like a lamb!

I used my sewing machine and did a zigzag stitch all around my layers. My stitching has improved tremendously after getting a new sewing machine by Husqvarna. When I 'interviewed' the sewing machines, I took a double piece of card stock with me. Whichever machines sewed nicely on the cardstock were in the running to come home with me. Then the final decision was: how hard was the machine to figure out how to change the stitches, thread the bobbin and thread the machine. hahaha! I am not a sewer, as you can tell. The Husqvarna won for ease and the fact it sewed great on double cardstock! (P.S. I'm not getting anything free from the company for plugging the Husqvarna machine.)

We're sponsored by our own Little Miss Muffet Stamps and one lucky winner will be awarded a $10.00 Gift Voucher to the LMMS shop!

Is it spring yet?

It's my Tuesday to post on Craft-Dee BowZ for our February challenge of ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HAND MADE BOW! I used this very cute image from Bildmalarna. I have lots of their stamps and love their sweet faces. I chose this image because my spring bulb garden is blooming now. This year I have paper whites, daffodils, tulips, freesia, hyacinths and crocus! That's why I'm feeling like spring!

I used a Magnolia border die, an old butterfly punch, a corner die and a tag punch. I colored my image with Copics and 'textured' the egg to try and make it look like an actual egg shell. I added a dash of glitter to my flowers and butterflies.

This fabulous bow was made with my Craft-Dee BowZ bow tool. I love how it came out. I used green ribbon and green twine (thank you, Donna!). I love the two textures together and it tied beautifully in the middle. I resisted the urge to put a button in the middle of this great bow just because the bow came out so well!

Our sponsor is A Day For Daisies and they will provide a $12 gift card to the winner of this challenge!

A Day For Daisies provides themed categories of over 3000 digital illustrations and a fast growing line of new clear polymer stamp sets, including fairy tales and magical mermaids, cutie kids, vintage illustrations, sentiments and lovely designs for all occasions!

The entire team (all four of us) post our project on the first of every month using the sponsor of the month's images. Then each Tuesday one of us gets to post a project of our choice. Please take a look at the fabulous creations done this month at Craft-Dee BowZ blog.

Easter bunnies and eggs!

There are so many adorable Easter images available nowadays. This is a Bildmalarna stamp (so sad that they aren't in business anymore) and I think it's one of the cutest.

I'm busy with working my full-time job and maintaining after a husband, 2 dogs, and 3 cats so my time is pretty limited. My weekends are full with the fun stuff like chores and errands and I'm also working out in our garden, too. My dearest friend, Lillian, helped me out by making 2 Easter cards I could send out to loved ones. One Saturday afternoon I shut out the world and made this card for her!

I colored the image with Copics and added Cool Glitter Ritz to the eggs, butterflies and dragonfly. I did the background behind the bunny using a stipple brush. Here's a close-up of this adorable rubber stamped image.

My dies are the following:  around my image is by Memory Box, the butterfly die by Cheery Lynn, the dragonfly die by Magnolia, and the flower die by La-La Land. I used a Stampin' Up sentiment and punch.

Thanks for stopping by and a special thank you to Lillian for the cards she made for me!

                                                                            Hugs,
                                                  Gail

Sweet Stamps Easter Bunny

Update: This card won the Sweet Stamps Challenge!

I love this Sweet Stamps bunny image! I used white flocking on his tail and a bit of glitter on his bow. The flowers are from Wild Orchid and my stash. I'm going to enter this in the Sweet Stamps Challenge http://sweetstampsblog.blogspot.com/ .
P.S. This card was chosen in the Sweet Stamps Blog Challenge!  Thank you, Sweet Stamps!
