I love using sentiments!

Do you put sentiments on the front of your cards? Over the past couple of years, I've found that putting a sentiment on the front of my card makes it more personal for the recipient. The challenge at Crafty Sentiments this week is ADD A SENTIMENT to the front of your card.

I used this adorable image from Crafty Sentiments Designs and her name is Annabel - Summertime.

This card is one of my favorites of all times. It has everything on it that I love, with the exception of lace. I loved this paper from Basic Grey because of the small pattern and the colors. I even used it as the background on my Elizabeth Design's butterfly diecut. I used a Spellbinders die around my image that has been out for a long time, but one I just purchased. The flowers are from both Wild Orchid and my local lace warehouse. The seam binding is from a local convention and the button in the center of the bow is a new purchase and it came with the twine in the button holes and adhesive on the back! Last week I purchased this sentiment set from Make-It-Crafty. I love the set since I always felt redundant putting "Happy Birthday" on the front of my card AND on the inside. The rhinestones are from Queen & Co. I added Stardust Stickles to the edges of my flowers, the flowers in Annabel's hair and on her kitty's hair bow. I used Warn Glitter Ritz on the filigree of my butterfly.

Annabel and her kitty are colored with Copics and I used a gel pen to add the polka dots to her dress. I love this kitty. It's got such a cute face and I'm happy with how my gray kitty colored up. I'm not very good at coloring animals and have been practicing my dog and cat coloring for the past couple of weeks. My trash can is full of rejects.

The team at Crafty Sentiments would love you to participate in our challenge this week and ADD A SENTIMENT to the front of your card. The prize this week is:

 A SURPRISE!!
(I don't even know what it is!)

Remember, if you use an image or stamp from Crafty Sentiments Designs you can be voted the DT's favorite and have your card placed in the members gallery.

                                                                                   Hugs,
                                                                                   Gail

  21. Oh my, what pretty colors on this card! Your "bouquet" is wonderful - I think I can almost smell them from here . . . love the variegated colors on the butterfly body. Your coloring turned out perfect - on both the cat and the girl - great idea to make her dress polka dotted. Good luck on your challenges!
