I'm gonna be a pilot some day....

That's what this little tyke is thinking as he holds his toy plane and sees that jet plane flying overhead. This adorable image is by Mo Manning and his name is "Dream".  Years ago my husband flew small planes and now whenever he hears them overhead, he looks to see what kind of plane it is. This image was so appropriate for his birthday card.

I colored this image with Copics (and yes, I did do the American Flag patch on his jacket) and he's fussy cut and mounted on a Spellbinders diecut. The sentiment up in the corner is a stamp and a punch by Stampin' Up. The metal corners and buckle are from my stash. The jet plane is a clip art printed on heavy cardstock and fussy cut. I had some small pieces of ribbon in a drawer and found these 3 that I've been hoarding...I just didn't have the heart to throw them away. There's a touch of ink and Stickles on the image's background.

Here's the poem I wrote on the inside. I'm not much of a poet, and Tim knows it, but he gets a kick out of how bad some of my poems actually are and looks forward to reading my prose! It must be love!!

Yes, we did travel to Maui, Hawaii in 2008. And, "Happy Jack" is a little town in one of our forests in northern Arizona where we've rented a cabin and enjoyed the pine trees and cool temperatures compared to where we live in the desert in Arizona.  And Team Lass is comprised of me, our beagles Bailey and Lucy, and our cats Raggs, Harley and Skyy.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a wonderful day!

                                                                     Hugs,
                                                                     Gail
