Happy 4th of July! Well, almost. It's July 1 and it's time for a new challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ Challenge Blog. I used this adorable image by Bugaboo Stamps named Edward USA for my card.
Here's Edward colored with Copics and I added some silver glitter to the stars on the image. Now don't go looking too close at Edward's flag...or you'll see what I saw after I printed him...the flag is backwards on the pole! But I think Americans can forgive this error since the image is so very cute! The big stars in the corner are heavy cardboard covered in silver paper.
The red, white and blue ribbon was very different to work with. It was very stiff and felt like heavy paper until Donna at CDB said to use my bone creaser on it and it would soften it up and then it would make a great bow. She wasn't kidding! This double looped bow was easy to make with my bow tool! If you don't have a bow tool and like to make bows for your cards, you need one! It saves me time and ribbon since every bow comes out great the first time! The star in the middle of this bow is a piece of cardstock that I used a star punch and then used clear embossing powder over it.
Our sponsor this month is Bugaboo Stamps. As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was six years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing! From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects. Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!
The challenge prize this month is FOUR digital images, winner's choice, from Bugaboo Stamps!
I hope you'll join us this month at Craft-Dee BowZ for our ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HAND MADE BOW challenge!
Thanks for stopping by!

I salute you, Gail, for this oh-so-patriotic card for the 4th of July. Lovely red, white and blue . . . and a touch of silver - can't forget some glitz (in lieu of fireworks). Adorable Edward and he's gotten in the swing of things by having his nails done in red/blue -- teehee, I'll bet you laughed yourself, as you were doing these! And, as always, a very nice bow, girlfriend !!
