It's a new month and time for a new challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ. The challenge this month is ANYTHING GOES AND ADD A HANDMADE BOW! My card this month is watercolored with Peerless Watercolors. I often forget I have this wonderful coloring medium as Copics seem to be my first grab, but I do adore watercolor pictures and thought I'd give it a try. I might have to reconsider my favorite coloring medium since I love the blending I was able to achieve with the watercolors! I used this perfect image by Beccy's Place for my card.
I hope that those of you who look at this post can see what I see and what I attempted to show...that no matter how bleak or dreary it is or how tough times are right now, there is a light shining out there for each of us.
And here's the bow. The ribbon is wrapped around my image outlined in black and I made a triple looped bow. Thank you, Donna at CDB, for providing the ribbons I use each month. This blue ribbon tied absolutely beautifully and is the one and only embellishment on this card. My bow tool is the most wonderful tool I own and I keep it right next to my work table since I use it so often. I can make so many different sizes with ease and every single bow comes out wonderful!
Our sponsor this month is the wonderful Beccy's Place. The image and sentiment I used come in a set named Splish Splash Set . There are also two other wonderful images and three additional sentiments in this set, too! This set caught my eye because of the options of watercoloring, using watercolor markers, even using my Copic air compressor (if I begin to have Copic withdrawal).
Beccy's Place will provide the winner of the challenge with their choice of one set of digital stamps. Yes, that's correct, a whole set!!
I hope you'll join us this month at Craft-Dee BowZ where ANYTHING GOES AND ADD A HANDMADE BOW!
Thanks for stopping by!
Gail

You've certainly mastered this water coloring technique, Gail, and you really should alternate between water coloring and Copics, so you don't forget or withdraw from either! Your breaking light is like the rainbow after the rain, to remind us there's always hope. Superb creation, as always, and what can I say - a perfect bow to top it off!
