Waiting for you!

Don't you just love the 1st of every month?! So many challenges begin on the 1st of each month and Craft-Dee BowZ is just one of them!  So, here we go and I hope you'll join us in May. The challenge this month is ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HAND MADE BOW. I used this Magnolia stamp named Tilda with Rose for my card.

I colored my image with Copics and I used an embossing folder for the bricks with black paper that had a white core and then I sanded it. After fussy cutting around her legs, I slid the bricks under her, taped it down on the back and then used an oval diecut to cut it all out. I mounted it on this pretty die cut in black by Sue Wilson. The little black dots on the white cardstock are enamel dots.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the Ribbon Girl. The pretty swirl and heart die cut is by Magnolia. The turquoise rhinestone swirl is by Michael's and the Hello die cut is from my best friend, Lillian. My teal ribbon is satin and I pleated it and used glue dots to hold it in place as I went across the page. The black ribbon is sheer organza. My bow is double looped and was so easy to make with my Craft-Dee BowZ tool. This little tool is small, handy and easy to transport, so if you go to crops or to classes, this bow tool is for you!  I added a small red rose to the center of my bow to match the rose that Tilda is holding. A dash of glitter on all the flowers petals adds a touch of sparkle.

The team has made some beautiful creations again this month. Since we're a team of only four, it doesn't take long to take a look at our creations. All comments are welcome, too!  Our challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ is ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HAND MADE BOW and I'll hope you'll join us this month!

                                                                                           Hugs,
                                                            Gail

  2. Wow, Gail, your coloring is "spot on" perfect - great job of highlights on her black hair! The teal and black combo is so striking, and love the brick block look you created by sanding - very authentic looking. What a great idea to fan-fold your teal ribbon, and your glittered red rose is just the right touch to tuck into your perfectly tied black bow. Your gems and flower bouquet put the final finishing touches to a fabulous, fabulous, girly card !! Take a bow, girl, as you did an excellent job.
