For my card today I used this Whimsy Wee image fairy. She's so sweet and was fun to color those wings of hers! I added 3 sequins with little pearls in the middle, a gorgeous square jewel from JoAnn's and that butterfly and flower strip across the bottom is from Michael's. I used a sentiment by Whimsy and punched it out, along with a scallop punch for layering. I brushed on some white gesso on the edge of my background paper and used my stipple brush to add white splatters to the narrow peach layer under the maize colored paper. I was looking for a soft look for this card with the peach tones.
I colored my image with Copics and used Warm Glitter Ritz on her wings and throughout her hair. I used Cool Glitter Ritz on the blue bird. I'm happy to see the glitter showing up in the photograph! And you can see my sequins with the baby pearls in the center close-up below.
I don't usually show the inside of my cards but I love this rubber stamp by Printworks.
I always save the picture of my bow for last since it's always the finishing touch on my cards. This is the prettiest soft peach color ribbon and it made a wonderful bow using my Craft-Dee BowZ tool. It's a double looped bow with a Stampin' Up button glued in the middle. This ribbon knot in the middle looked perfect, but I ran across this button and it matched so nicely that I couldn't resist using it! Have you ever seen how easy it is to use the Craft-Dee BowZ tool? Take a look at one the videos since we've got a video of an 8 year old making her first bow!
We're sponsored this month by Cute As A Button who has donated two digital images of the winner's choice! Francesca at Cute As A Button is a talented artist and I hope you'll stop by her store and see her art work here.
The Team at Craft-Dee BowZ have created some wonderful projects to inspire and encourage you to join our challenge for March. The challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ is ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HANDMADE BOW. I hope you'll join us!
