Roses and more roses

There's a new challenge at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog and it's ROSES.  You must have roses on your creation whether it be roses in the image, on the paper or added to your creation.  I used this beautiful image named Rose from The Paper Shelter. Although she has roses in her hair, I also found paper in my stash that had roses on it...and I couldn't resist adding more roses on the card. I made this card and stamped a Mother's Day sentiment inside it and gave it to my Mom. It's sitting in her curio cabinet with some of my other card creations I've given her.

 I colored my image with Copics and added just a touch of Hero Arts Iridescent glitter to the roses in her hair. The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley and the lace, pink jewels and pink pearls are from my stash. Do you like her tiny pearl earring?  My best friend, Lillian, sent me a pack of itsy bitsy pearls and they're just the perfect size to be an earring. Thanks, Lillian!

My flowers are from Wild Orchid and the leaves are a Martha Stewart punch. I added a touch of glue from my Zig Glue Pen to the edges of the flower petals and then sprinkled the Hero Arts Iridescent glitter on the wet glue. I'm trying to use up some of these glitters that I've collected since 1990 (are they antiques?) since I have an over-abundance of glitter! My bow is seam binding and I've attached a silver heart charm to the bow and then glued a rose in the center.
