I used my favorite punch along the bottom from Martha Stewart...again. With all the punches and diecuts borders I have, this punch continually calls to me. The sentiment is a stamp by Lili of the Valley and I used a Stampin' Up punch on it. The butterfly diecut is by Memory Box. We embellishers have been introduced to self-adhesive rhinestones, pearls and now these enamel dots. I don't know how you all feel about them, but the colors they come in are outstanding! And for those who mail their cards, they mail easier than rhinestones and pearls! My enamel dots are by Doodlebug and they have the BEST colors available! My papers are from Doodlebug, too. I have a helpful hint: when you can't find a flower to match your card, take a colored one close to what you have and use your markers to color it with the same colors as you used on your image. That's what I did, and I added a little leaf from a Martha Stewart punch in the center of the bow. And thank you to Craft-Dee BowZ for their wonderful bow tool since that's all I use to make my bows now! I used my glue pen and covered the overlay of the butterfly and then sprinkled my loose glitter on it. I love my glue pen by Sakura...it doesn't make the paper too wet so it doesn't warp or wrinkle. I also added a touch of glitter to my little florist's flowers.
I love color. I used nice bright colors for the feeling of spring (or summer!). I'm still practicing coloring on things like hair and this is the first time I've attempted black hair. I'm not completely happy with it, but you can't get better if you don't keep trying!
The prize this week at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog is phenomenal if you use an image from The Paper Shelter with a $30 gift voucher. If you don't use an image from The Paper Shelter and you win, you get 3 images of your choice.
The team have made truly gorgeous projects for the challenge at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog with the topic of BLOOMS. Take a look and I hope you'll be inspired to join us this week!
Hugs,
Gail
