G is for...

The challenge at Crafty Sentiments Challenge Blog this week is THE LETTER 'G'.  What can you make that has the letter 'g' as the first letter of items on or in your project? My card below is this:  G is for glitter, gold, green, grosgrain. Those are the 4 items on my card that start with the letter 'g'. The stamp I used from Crafty Sentiments is named Angel.

My paper is by Wild Rose Studio, and I've used a dark green solid paper as my base and the Cheery Lynn doily die cut. The tan textured circle (punch by Marvy) is a piece of Bazzill paper, lightly inked. The poinsettias are made by layering petals by Prima and I am holding the flowers together with a yellow brad and then I filled the center of the poinsettia with yellow Stickles to match the poinsettias on the paper. I added red glitter to each of the flower petals for sparkle. The green swirl in the arrangement is a die by Marianne (coated with green Stickles) and the gold branches are a Martha Stewart punch (coated with gold Stickles). The gold berries are from Wild Orchid. The sentiment is by Whimsy and I stamped it on cream paper with dark green ink then applied a thin layer of Glossy Accents and pressed a clear acrylic medallion over the sentiment. When it was partially dry, I cut around the medallion and then used a nail file go to all around the edge so it was nice and smooth. I attached it to my grosgrain bow with a piece of embroidery thread. the gold flat-backed pearls are from Michael's. The lace is from my stash and is my favorite embellishment. I love the textures and colors of them and how just a bit of lace makes every card just a little prettier! Here's a close-up of my image.

I colored my image with Copics and coated her wings with Warm Glitter Ritz. I added some Clear Wink of Stella to the flute to give it that silvery shine. I added red glitter to the berries in her hair and green Spica glitter pen to the holly. Then came the task of fussy cutting her. I glued her to the inked Bazzill paper circle.
