Festive Foliage

The theme this month at Christmas at Sweet Stampin' is FESTIVE FOLIAGE.  Definitely a winter theme in my mind and poinsettias count as festive foliage.


My card is made with a beautiful digital image by StampArt by Kathryne and this one is available through Whimsy Stamps.  This little sweetheart's name is Alannah.


 Alannah is colored with Copics and I've used my WOW! glitter on the fur of her hat, jacket, mittens, boots and the snow. My snowflakes are dots of Star Dust Stickles.

 My "festive foliage" are poinsettias and holly that are a set of punches by Nellie Snellen that punch AND emboss and a branch punch by Martha Stewart. I used a die by Sizzix around my image and the sentiment stamp in the top corner and matching die are by Whimsy. My bow is seam binding and I used a brad for the middle of the bow. I dry embossed the paper in the background with snowflakes and that's a 6x6 embossing folder by Crafter's Companion. Oh, and I used Snow-Tex on the die around the image.

    This is a beautiful card Gail. The girl is beautifully coloured and I love the colours youve chosen but what really stands out for me is the attention to detail with all the flowers and all the extra glitter to look like snow - they look fab!
