Winter fun!

Winter fun...skiing, skating, sledding...all out in the cold, snow, ice...something I don't ever see in the desert and sure don't miss it. So to all of you experiencing that weather, this card is for you!  Isn't this image beautiful? No, I didn't color her...this is one of the beautiful images from The Paper Shelter and her name is Fantasy On Ice. We all know that photographs don't do any of our cards justice...we often explain in our post that the colors in the photo aren't what the card actually is, but this image is exactly what you see here. The camera played tricks on my ribbon bow and made it more green than blue, but this image...well, what you see is what you get.

I used an assortment of dies on this card including Spellbinders, Magnolia, Marianne, Whimsy and Joy. I threaded ribbon through my lace and added a row of the snowball embellishment. The tag is from Modge Podge...it's clear acetate and I stamped my words on paper in blue, then glued the paper on the back of the acetate. I used WOW! White Glitter on the icicles across the top of the card, on the trees over white pearl paint, and on the snow drifts at the base of the trees. The jewels, pearls and centers of the snowflakes are from my stash of supplies. Here's a close-up of this image. She's even more beautiful in person. And a helpful hint, print your color images on the best smooth paper you've got. I used the Neenah Super Smooth and she printed out as perfect as a photograph.

The challenge at The Paper Shelter Blog this week is Winter Fun. I interpret this to mean outside winter sports or activities. Our sponsor is our favorite digital image shop The Paper Shelter.

It's time for you to go shopping and get yourself at least one of these images! Why not purchase one stamp with the opportunity to win $30 worth of more stamps?! Winning three of these digitals is nothing to sneeze about, but imagine winning a gift certificate for $30 for the investment of $3.00! And these stamps come in black and white, in color, and you get a colored background, AND even a colored image on the front of the colored background!

The Design Team at The Paper Shelter Blog have some gorgeous inspirational cards for you. Please stop by the blog, take a look, and leave a message on each DT's blog to let them know you were there. We all appreciate a kind word from you!

                                                                            Hugs,
                                                                            Gail

How fun it is to read about how it is where you live, it is so far from us (9087 Swedish mil) and we are waiting for winter here while you never get to experience it .. a little weird.
