Here's one of my Precious Moments stamps that I love. I made this card and sent it off to Lillian. It's not a self-portrait, though, since my hair is more gray than brown, I wear it in a ponytail every day, my small dog is a tri-color beagle, and finally, if I ever got myself down on the ground like this, I'd never be able to get back up. So, I think it's safe to say that this isn't a self-portrait.
The flowers are from Wild Orchid and the crocheted flower was perfect as the backing of the larger rose. The butterfly punch is by Martha Stewart and the butterfly corner came from my stash. I used my new Distrezz-It-All by Zutter on the paper edges, but I don't like how it distresses the paper. I think my little hand held one made by Tonic Studios is more to my liking. Chalk one up for the "old" ways vs. the new, quicker and faster distressing tool.
Thanks for stopping by and leave a note so I can visit your blog!
Hugs,
Gail
Love the vintage feel to this gorgeous card, Gail. Those papers are beautiful! Have a lovely weekend. Hugs, Tracey xx

Your card is beautiful Gail. I love the cute image, because it has that adorable dog. We have two Jack Russels (my husband call them our two spoiled brads). They give us so much joy and love. Gail your distressing is so good. I have not tried that yet. Hugs Anet.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card and such a pretty, girly image and beautifully coloured. I laughed about getting on the ground and not getting up. Not sure why I laughed because it's not funny... not sure I'd be able to get up either!
ReplyDeleteLove the gorgeous colours you have used on this one, Gail -very eye-catching! It's a beautiful image and design too! (I know EXACTLY what you mean... getting down on the ground is easy... getting back up is NOT!)

Ah, I was SO happy to find this sweet card in my mailbox - so totally cute and adorable!! You can't go very much wrong with puppies, cute girls, flowers (especially hand-crocheted ones!) and butterflies! Of course, you always coordinate so perfectly - the butterfly papers are as awesome as everything else . . . thanks for the Sunshine, girlfriend !!
