Our challenge this month at Christmas at Sweet Stampin' is "Snowflakes". Don't go putting away those winter stamps...our monthly challenges are all winter and Christmas topics! This is a great way to get a few cards ahead for Christmas 2013 since we all know how fast the months fly by.
I colored my image with Copics and used Flower Soft as the snow at her feet, clear iridescent glitter for the tiny snowflakes, and tiny flat back pearls for her earrings. I wear pearl earrings, so she's wearing pearl earrings!
My large white snowflakes are made from Sizzix diecuts and then I coated them with white glue and then white Flower Soft. I let that dry and then I coated that with more white glue and put another layer of Flower Soft. I achieved the look I wanted, but it was quite messy and I had to peel glue and flower soft off my fingertips then had to clean up the loose flower soft that went everywhere! I glued a white pearl in the center of each snowflake. The iridescent silver snowflakes around image are a die by Poppy Stamps. The rhinestones in the corner are actually clear with a blue iridescent coating over them, although they look metallic here. I used a square frosted acrylic tag and stamped "happy holidays" with Staz-On black ink. The snowflake in the middle of the satin bow is a button that I cut the back off and glued a little pearl in the center.
This month our sponsor is Funky Kits. The prize is two Gorjuss Girl images from Sugar Nellie.
