Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

Well, not exactly lions and tigers and bears....but how about a new challenge at Christmas at Sweet Stampin' of POLAR BEARS OR PENGUINS!  Everyone probably has one or the other, or both, in their Christmas stamp collection so I hope you'll pull them out and do a card for the challenge this month. I used a rubber stamp from Whimsy (art work by Crissy Armstrong) for my card. Isn't this just one of the cutest penguin stamps you've ever seen!  My favorite colors are the shades of blue for any winter cards. I think blue is a cooling color and it just seems appropriate to use it whenever I see snow!

I used the Whimsy snowflake border die, the Memory Box snowflake corner die, and the nested dies around my image are by QuicKutz. The three postage stamp sentiments are from Whimsy. I used flat backed glittery half pearls for the centers of my snowflakes that I got at Michael's. And I went a little crazy with some new embossing glitter from Stampendous, too, covering my diecut snowflakes with it and on my QuickKutz die cuts. I used my glue pen and Cool Glitter Ritz for the snow on the mailbox and ground and a touch of Glossy Accents on my red lights for shine. The pompom on his hat is covered in White Glitter Ritz. I love my pearl paint pen and made some snow and then sprinkled some of that Cool Glitter Ritz on the wet paint.
